The G8 block is self aligning and requires limited ground preparation. Becasue of the angled sides the block can be used on undulating surfaces. It is easy to install and there are three different ways to lay the block. This product has been designed and engineered for multiple applications. If necessary or specified the G8 block can be can be cabled/matted or anchored against movement and displacement using inexpensive self made or available earth anchors. The unique design allows all round interlocking at all times thus maintaining intimate contact between the blocks. The design allows for lateral flexibility between the blocks without undue loading or stress even if some settlement of the ground occurs after installation. There are sufficient voids and cavities in the product to allow vegetation to grow through and in effect it acts as a permeable paver.

The G8 block is suitable for soil stabilising of surfaces and embankments, and earth retaining up to angles of 45 degrees. It can be used for paving of steep or normal driveways, parking areas, and rural/temporary/emergency roads. The block is also used for erosion control of streams, riverbeds, and estuaries. This product can also be used for drainage control of water outlets and aprons, as well as water canal lining, both with soft and trapezoidal sides. The G8 block is suited for use in building slipways and for wave erosion control. The block also acts as a permeable paver and can be used to pave waterlogged or problem areas.
